Lionheart Theatre competed in the Georgia Theatre Conference and it is pleased to announce that Lionheart is now a multiple award winning theatre company. Here is the synopsis of the short one act comedy we did:

Controlling Interests

“Four successful young businessmen gather for their weekly staff meeting. Times are changing, and the issue of girls is on the table. Two persuasive young businesswomen arrive to negotiate the ultimate deal: the boys may start liking them, but only on the girl’s terms.

Characters in order of appearance:

Jack… Bob Smith
Brad… Zach Hare
David… James Beck
Steven… Jason Caldwell
Ashley… Tanya Carroll
Bethany… Daphne Mintz

The comments we received from the adjudicators were excellent and insightful. To our wonderful surprise, we won almost every award they had:

Zach Hare was named to the GTC All Star Cast
Daphne Mintz, her first time acting, received Best Supporting Actress
Tanya Carroll was named Best Actress
Bob Smith was named Best Actor

And last, but certainly not least, Lionheart took Best Play. That means it will compete in the South Eastern Theatre Conference in March 09’ in Birmingham, AL.
