Types of material: full-length plays.
Frequency: annual.
Remuneration: $250, possible production.
Guidelines: unproduced comedy, cast of 6 or more characters, no musicals; simultaneous
submissions okay; multiple submissions okay.
Submission:
  • Complete script (typed, single-sided; 3-hole punched preferred)
  • Synopsis (limit one page; include title of play and contact information in header)
  • Character breakdown
  • SASP for acknowledgement of receipt (optional);
  • SASE for return of scripts (optional; postage and envelope size must be adequate)
  • $10.00 admin fee for each play submitted (Make check or money order payable to Lionheart
    Theatre. Please send one check or money order to cover all entries.)

This award will be administered by a panel of judges named by the Lionheart Board of Directors.
A $250 cash prize will be awarded and consideration for production of the award-winning script
may be given for the Lionheart summer season or on another occasion.

Lionheart
    Just Write!
    Saturdays, February 20th, 2010 to March 20th, 2010
    From 2:00 to 4:00 Cost: $50
    (The cost for class is purposefully kept low as the class is
    offered as a community outreach effort.)
 
A five-week class focused on learning the basics of writing a play and developing your
own ten-minute play.  Goal – for the writer to come out of the experience with at least one
10-minute play. This class is offered by Onion Man Productions in association with
Lionheart Theater Company (www.lionhearttheatre.org). The class is taught by James
Beck,  creator of Onion Man Productions.
 
    Class size limited to 8 people or less,
    Participants will need something to write with and on.
