William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet On Verona Street
Adapted and Directed by J. Michael Carroll and Katy Clarke

It’s 1932 in our waterfront neighborhood.  In the Age of Prohibition, days and nights on
Verona Street revolve around the “business” of Montague’s Imports and Capulet’s
Ristaurante.  This community witnesses the inevitable consequences of forbidding mores.  It’
s the story, in the Bard’s words.

No Time for Sergeants by Mac Hyman
Directed by Joseph McLaughlin

No Time for Sergeants was a best-selling1954 novel by Mac Hyman, adapted for television
in 1955, which was again adapted into a popular Broadway play and 1958 motion picture, as
well as a 1964 television series. The book chronicles the misadventures of a country
bumpkin named Will Stockdale who is drafted into the Air Force during the early Cold War
years.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller

The Crucible by Arthur Miller is a play based on the actual events that, in 1692, led to the
Salem Witch Trials, a series of hearings before local magistrates to prosecute over 150
people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May
1693.

Strange Snow by Stephen Metcalfe
Directed by Joanie McElroy

A haunting piece deals with David, a shattered veteran who has withdrawn into the relative
safety of his sister Martha's house, walling off that part of his past and using alcohol to blur
the edges. But when Megs, a frenetic and wild platoon buddy from the war, appears on
David's doorstep, both David and Megs must confront who they were before, who've they've
become, and who they left behind. David fights to keep his barriers from crumbling as
Martha and Megs discover that the creation of love brings rebirth to the empty landscape of
isolation.
