About us
Lionheart Theatre Company is one of Metro Atlanta’s leading community theaters. Lionheart is
a volunteer-operated nonprofit, non-equity theater. The company produces high-quality,
affordable entertainment from classic dramas, to comic romps and Broadway musicals. Other
programs include play development with local playwrights, summer children’s’ shows, drama
camps and acting classes.
Everyone is invited! Community theater allows high school, college and semi-professionals to
put their skills back to work and still have a day job. Newcomers can give acting a try in an
encouraging and friendly atmosphere. There is something for everyone to do…sewing,
painting, set building , baking, searching for props, and, of course, acting and directing.
Lionheart is rooted in the drama ministry at Norcross Presbyterian Church (NPC), where
Lionheart’s Producing Artistic Director Tanya Caldwell served as Artistic Director since 1994.
In 2000, a dedicated group of actors, designers and stage technicians made the "leap of faith"
into the community at large and formally organized as Lionheart Theatre Company.
Lionheart makes its home in Old Town Norcross in the historic church at 10 College Street in
Downtown Historic Norcross in the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center. The theater
welcomes diverse audiences through the same grand doors that once greeted church
parishioners over 100 years ago. Norcross’ theme is “A Place to Imagine” and Lionheart is
pleased to be an integral part of the city’s vision.
So come, join Lionheart, where we form bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.
